happy new year everyone! and welcome back yen (:
this is my FIRST entry in '05. haha.. which means the post before this was the last entry i ever made in '04.
my resolutions this year.
to lose weight. i declare im selectively vegetarian now! i will NOT TOUCH sri lanka crabs. and definitely NOT eat them. they are so evil can. feed on tsunami victims' corpses. HELLO HAVE SOME HEART CRABS.
oh oh. other things i want to do.
ban myself from eating sharks fin. yupp, the poor sharks out there. -reminds myself of the stefanie sun video- uh huh, NO SHARKS FOR ME.
be a nice sec2. im so NOT going to let my future mortal down. i'll be a nice angel and squeeze as much time as possible to write to her. and im going to be a nice senior to my future guides. they are gg to realise how much guides rock.
what a nice start to such a nice year. (: 2005!
and of cos. even though its already 2005, i'll still sum up my 2004 year. i can say its actually the most eventful year i have ever had. the first step into teenhood. *nods*
0hfour. the year with my many "first"s. starts out with my first secondary year in RGS. when i dun even noe anyone. 109 was full of complete strangers. but now, look we're all good friends. we bridged gaps, made mistakes, pushed and pulled. we all had our ups and downs as 109s. there were conflicts, there were good times. we cheered, we cried. 109 we rock. we had our very first drama night together. and although the results weren't what we really wanted, we tried our best right. looking back, we really worked hard. and who cares abt awards -.- and we had our very first netball carn together, bagging so many awards. all thanks to 109 teamspirit. remember, we are united. we will never break apart right. its another year this year with u all. and i wun get sian of u all de. promise (:
and then there was my very first cca in rgs. and i m sure that will be my ONLY cca throughout the 4 years in rgs. i duwan to change. never. GUIDES 010203! haha.. i still remember the time when i was still an innocent, guaikia little girl taking the guides interview infront of complete strangers. and now they are my seniors. my DARLING seniors. and, the ppl i totally daoed in guides cos i was too shy to talk to them. exp, yenyen, yunting, denise and i think all others. im happy that we actually had the guts to talk to each other. and look where we are now (: my closest guide mates (:
and my very first zhui-ing idols events. energy0908. thanks kellie for going with me. ilu. and zpop04. thanks yen for standing with me throughout. and getting daphy, oli and SLY signature. credits totally to natalie and yenyen. love u all. and and. the very first autograph i got. thanks shannon for getting yida's.
first times. there are just so many this year. like, first time kboxing. have to thank yiwen and yen for calling me along. i never knew karaokeing was so much fun.
and there was the FIRST singapore idol competition. and i really have to thank it for introducing me to my all-time favourite idol, sylvester sim. he has made me go crazy, made me quarrel with my friends, made me empty my pocket money. haha.. he's my number one (: but to all those i offended while defending my darling, im sry. u'll understand right.
there was my FIRST outdoor camp as well. camp christine! haha.. the first time i slept outdoors, the first time i went canoeing.. etc. and im happy it brought me closer to my fellow guides.
ok. 2004 was a year the smses i made were either TOO LITTLE, or TOO MUCH. haha. thanks to my sms pals: yenyen. zhaoqiang. and some occasional others. like charlene who keeps declaring her new loves. includes yunting as well, although she spends most of her smses smsing someone else.
sec one year- meaning the first time encountering humanities. like history and geography. it is difficult to actually adapt to the ways of learning such subjects, but i have to thank my teachers for being there drilling different concepts into our heads. thank mr ganesh for actually giving up one whole free period to pep talk us. thank mrs mohd who motivated us until 109 scored one of the highest geog averages in sec1 mainstream. and also cos of my lack of adapting skills, my different subjects really dropped in standard SO MUCH. my mid year results were not at all consoling. they were demoralising. and though i did work hard towards the end of the year, maybe i din give it my all?
also. my very LAST holiday in 2004 left a huge impression in me. that was to thailand (bangkok plus pattaya). u noe how shocked i was to meet joyce there. haha, i was so happy. i could even meet a senior overseas. now, how cool is that. that trip actually brought me closer to young kids. example, gavriel, sera, darren, valerie and ariel. u noe, just joking around with them can actually make me forget all my troubles. (at that pt i was having big problems with my jian tie bu) and that holiday let me summon up all my courage to try new stuff. things i have never ever dared to do before, for example parasailing. also, i actually had the chance to try out new stuff, like bananaboating and jetskiing. PLUS. the aeroplane flight there made me change my opinion of twins. charlene and gillian (: haha. now i super love the twin effect II.
my very LAST movie in 2004 was one of the nicest i watched as well. the phantom of the opera. it was the FIRST ever movie to make me cry like mad in the cinema theatre. i dun mind watching it over again
again, 2004 is my FIRST year of teenhood. meaning i got super crazy and all during this year. meaning i got super moody and all. meaning i got super stressed and all. still, '04 has been a nice year.
behaviour wise. i dno if i matured much. what can 1 year do? 1 year is enough to change a person. last year (sry. last LAST year) i was still suakuing abt orchard rd. totally direction-lost in orchard and all. now, i may still be suaku abt orchard but at least it has sort of become my 2nd home. my thoughts and all. with the strategic and tough training from rgs, i guess i can stretch my explanations already. right? haha credits to the hilda taba cause and effects
the start of 04 was a LONELY point of time for me. it was difficult to adjust to rgs and my new peers. thinking back, i have to thank 601'03 for being there for me. namely huiwen, kaile, michelle, vinna, lim jie, yingching etc. thank you all so much. and even if time goes on, i'll never forget u all.
and also. '04 will be seriously a lonely year without my 109 classmates and guides. i love 109 so much. everyone there. thanks for seeing me through my '04. and guides. my closest mates there- yunting, yen, nat, charlene, denise. i noe i have quarelled with u all alot and all..haha. its either im super pissed or im just joking. but still, u noe i luff you all so much. (:
last time round. Thank EVERYONE who made a difference for me in '04. EVERYONE. even if u are a complete stranger. at least, u were part of my 2004.
2004 started well, but unfortunately ended quite sadly. everytime i turn on the news now, i just break down at the sight of the waves and all. looking at the corpses on tv, i wonder if things actually happened earlier, would i be one of them lying there. i noe, touch wood!. but still, its true that i was in thailand pattaya just exactly a week before that disaster happened. if there WAS actually a twist of events, i wouldnt be here right. i thank the heavens for keeping me safe. im sincerely sorry for ALL, EVERYONE affected by the tsunami or earthquake. the death toll keeps rising. and my heart keeps breaking for them. )= but im just a little 13 year old girl. i want to help but how. i emptied my savings to donate. and i NOE its still not enough.but hopefully. HOPEFULLY there will actually BE a happy ending.
okay, bye bye 04.
and hi 05
